The Town of Oro Valley Water, a public community water system under the Town Department of Public Water Utility, provides water for about 39,366 living in the Oro Valley, Arizona. Established in 1974, the Town of Oro Valley Water Utility System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of sources: ground water taken from the Canada del Oro Wash basin (primary source) and purchased surface water from the Central Arizona Project (CAP), which carries Colorado River water.
