The Banning City Water Department provides water for about 31,282 residents living in the Banning area, California. Established in 1913, the Banning City Water collects supply from a groundwater source, twenty-one groundwater wells throughout the City. The wells are located over the Beaumont, Banning, Banning Water Canyon, Banning Bench and Cabazon storage units. Additionally, the City may receive water supplies from three wells within the Beaumont storage operated jointly by Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District and the City of Banning.
