Founded in 1926, the California Water Service-Oroville System currently obtains its supply mainly from a surface water source from Lake Oroville through the California State Water Project. A supplemental source is from a groundwater well that is drilled into the aquifer underneath the area. The system has a 52-mile pipeline, and two storage tanks with six booster pumps.
