The California Water Service Company (Cal Water) provides water services to about 7,217 residents living in the Willows area of Glen County. Founded in 1927, the Willows Division of Cal Water operates four wells, two storage tanks, and 35.7 miles of pipeline, which distributes approximately two million gallons of local groundwater daily to the Willows' customers. The wells receive hexavalent chromium treatment and are disinfected with chlorine to kill microbial contamination. Water sources also include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, and springs.
