The Myoma Dunes Mutual Water Company supplies water to about 8,948 residents living in the Bermuda Dunes and La Quinta areas of Riverside County. Founded in 1953, the Water Department gets its water from five company-owned water wells pumping from the Lower Whitewater River sub-basin of the Coachella Valley Aquifer.
