The City of Colton Public Utilities Department provides water for about 47,625 residents living in the area of Colton, California. Established in 1887, the Colton Public Utilities Department is currently obtaining its supply from 15 wells that draw water from three underlying groundwater basins (Colton / Rialto Basin, Bunkerhill Basin, and North Riverside Basin).
