The City of La Palma Water, a public community water system under the City Water Operations Division of the Department of Public Works, provides water for about 15,948 residents living in La Palma, a city in Orange County, California. Established in 1955, the City of La Palma Water System currently obtains its supply purchased from two sources namely: Cerritos – City Water Department, which receives it from two water sources, surface water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD), transported from the Colorado River and the State Water Project in Northern California and groundwater, three wells pumped from the Central Groundwater Basin, and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California from the Colorado River and State Water Project.
