The Nipomo Community Services District, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 13,173 residents living in the area of Nipomo, an unincorporated town and census-designated place in San Luis Obispo County, California. Established in 1965, the Nipomo Community Services District Water System currently obtains its supply from a blend of sources, including a blend of surface water and groundwater. Along with its five operational wells, the District is purchasing water from the City of Santa Maria through the Nipomo Supplemental Water Project.
