Rancho Murieta Community Services District, a public community water system under the Department of Utilities, provides water to about 5,744 residents living in Rancho Murieta, Sacramento County, California. Founded in 1978, Rancho Murieta Community Services District System currently obtains its supply from Granlees Dam, drawn from the Cosumnes River. Raw water is then pumped into the three storages: Calero Reservoir, Chesbro Reservoir, and Clementia Reservoir, and finally, for treatment, it is transferred to the Water Treatment Plant before it is distributed.
