The City of Rohnert Park Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works – Water Division, provides water for about 42,067 residents living in the area of Rohnert Park, California. Established in 1962, the Rohnert Park City Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of sources: about 70% is supplied by the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA), which uses a surface water source - Russian River; and 30% from groundwater produced by 30 deep wells located throughout the City that pump water from the Santa Rosa Plain Aquifer System.
