The City of Santa Rosa Water Sprovides water for about 175,155 residents living in the Santa Rosa area. Established in 1959, the City of Santa Rosa Water collects water primarily from the Russian River (surface water) supplied by the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA), and from the two (2) city-owned and operated local groundwater production wells, to supplement water received from the Water Agency.
