Scotts Valley Water District is a regional water supply service district that provides water to about 10,709 residents living in Scotts Valley, a small city in Santa Cruz County, California. Founded in 1961, the Scotts Valley Water District System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily six wells that vary from 350 feet to 1,750 feet deep and drill into the Lompico Aquifer and Butano Aquifer, underneath the area that is part of the Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin.
