The City of South Pasadena Water Division provides water for about 26,174 living in the South Pasadena community, California. Established in 1888, the City of South Pasadena Water Division obtains its supply from three sources: (1) groundwater pumped from wells in the Main San Gabriel Groundwater Basin, (2) surface water imported by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) from the Colorado River and Northern California, and (3) groundwater from the City of Pasadena, which includes Metropolitan water, that is supplied to only the City’s Pasadena Zone.
