The Harford County Public Works through its Division of Water & Sewer, provides water for about 130,000 residents living in the Bel Air, Harford County area. Established in 1956 as the Harford County Metropolitan Commission, the Harford County Public Works collects supply from three water treatment plants fed by Loch Raven Reservoir, Susquehanna River, and ground water from seven city-owned wells.
