The Bridgewater Water Department provides water for about 26,563 living in the Bridgewater area, Massachusetts. Established in 1656, the Bridgewater Water Department collects supply from groundwater sources that are located in three (3) aquifers. The first consists of (four) 4 wells located on High Street near the Matfield River. The second aquifer supports five (5) wells located in the vicinity of Carvers Pond.
