The Devens MassDevelopment provides water services to about 6,500 residents in the Devens area of Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Devens MassDevelopment Water Department collects water from three active gravel-packed wells and the inactive Well field at the Grove Pond pumping station, including Patton, Shabokin, and MacPherson Wells. The water is filtered to remove iron and manganese and treated with a phosphate solution for corrosion control, potassium hydroxide for pH adjustment, and sodium hypochlorite for disinfection.
