The Bourne Water District, a public community water system under the Town of Bourne’s Board of Water Commissioners (BofWC), provides water for about 22,500 residents living in the area of Pocasset, Massachusetts. Established in 1939, the Bourne Water District System is currently obtaining its supply from 10 ground water sources: seven own gravel-packed well sites and three gravel-packed well sites from the Upper Cape Regional Water Supply Cooperative. These sources draw water from the Cape Cod's Sole Source Aquifer.
