The Milford Water Company provides water for about 27,999 residents living in the Milford area, Massachusetts. Established in 1881, the Milford Water Company currently obtains its supply from a combination of groundwater and surface water sources: the Charles River, the Echo Lake reservoir, the Dilla Street wells, and the Clark’s Island wells. The company also maintains a facility off Depot Street that purifies water collected from five wells located along Godfrey Brook. Milford Water is able to obtain mutual aid from the towns of Bellingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, and Medway for providing water when the demand arises.
