The Town of Norwood Water, under the Town Public Works Department, provides water for about 26,789 residents living in the Norwood area, Massachusetts. Established in 1872, the Town of Norwood Water Department currently obtains its supply from purchased surface water via the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). MWRA’s water originates from the Quabbin and Wachusett Reservoirs in central Massachusetts and is treated at the John Carroll Water Treatment Facility in Marlborough. Water from the Ware River can also add to the supply at times.
