The City of Revere Water System, under the City Department of Water and Sewer, provides water for about 51,755 residents living in the area of Revere, Massachusetts. Established in 1914, the City of Revere Water Department is currently obtaining its supply via purchase directly from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), a public water and sewer services wholesaler, which draws water from surface water sources: Quabbin and Wachusett Reservoirs. Water from Ware River can also add to the supply when the demand arises.
