The Uxbridge Water Department, a public community water system under the Department of Public Works of the local government, provides water to about 11,026 residents living in Uxbridge, a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts. Founded in 1727, the Uxbridge Water Department System currently obtains its supply from three groundwater sources, primarily seven wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area. The three sources: Bernat Wellfield, situated on town-owned land on South Main Street's eastern side; The Rosenfeld Well, located on Highway of Quaker; and Blackstone Wellfield, located at the Water Division Office on Blackstone Street, are replenished from various underground sources.
