The City of Westfield Water Department provides water for about 42,000 residents living in the Westfield area. Established in 1920, the City of Westfield Water Department collects its supply from several different sources, which includes: the Granville Reservoir (surface water), eight (8) groundwater wells, and water is periodically purchased from the City of Springfield water system from Springfield Cobble Mountain Reservoir (surface water).
