The Kennett Square Municipal Water Works supplies water to about 6,328 residents of Kennett Square in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Kennett Water Department collects 60% of its water from two groundwater wells and supplements it with surface water from the Chester Water Authority and Octoraro Treatment Plant through an Interconnection. Chester Water Authority's water contains fluoride additives added during water treatment to promote strong teeth. As a result, some traces of fluoride will be present in water. The southeast service area will have the highest level of fluoride in the water, while the northeast part and those in the North Walnut Road in Kennett and East Marlborough Townships will have the lowest level of fluoride in their water.
