The Newtown Artesian Water Company (NAWC), a public utility company, provides water for about 38,500 residents living in the area of Newtown Borough, Pennsylvania. Established in 1888, the Newtown Artesian Water Company currently obtains its supply from a combination of sources: groundwater from five local wells within the district; and purchased water from the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority (BCWSA) and Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC) Yardley District, both systems use Delaware River – a surface water source.
