The Capital Region Water, a municipal authority formerly known as Harrisburg Authority, provides water for about 66,540 residents living in the area of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Established in 1957, the Capital Region Water currently obtains its supply from a primary surface water source, the DeHart Dam and Reservoir. The District also uses Susquehanna River as a secondary source in case of severe drought or emergency.
