The City of Renton Utility Billing provides water for about 96,614 residents living in the area of Renton, Washington. Established in 1901, the City of Renton Utility Billing currently obtains its supply from a combination of sources: Groundwater from six downtown wells that draw from the Cedar Valley Aquifer and the Maplewood wellfield located at the Maplewood Golf Course; and Surface water from Springbrook Springs and purchased water from Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) that draw its supply from the Cedar and Tolt rivers.
