Athol Water Division is a public community water system under the City Water Division of the Department of Public Works to provides water to about 10,199 residents living in Athol, a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts. Founded in 1762, the Athol Water Division System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily four wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area. Water from Wells #1, #2, and #3 is treated and pumped into the Public Works facility while Well #4 is treated separately at the treatment facility located off of Jones Street.
