The City of Augusta Utility is a public community water system under the Department of Public Utilities that provides water to about 9,345 residents living in Augusta, in Butler County, Kansas. Founded in 1868, the City of Augusta Utility System currently gets its supply from three surface water sources namely: the Augusta Lake Intake, Santa Fe Lake Intake, and the El Dorado Lake.
