The Cambria Community Services District supplies water to about 6,032 residents living in the Cambria area of San Luis Obispo County. Founded in 1976, the Cambria Community Services District collects water from five wells that pump from narrow and shallow aquifers in San Simeon Creek and Santa Rosa Creek Basins. San Simeon Wells 1, 2, & 3 are located three miles north of Cambria, while Santa Rosa Well 4 is one mile east of Cambria's East Village, and Santa Rosa Well 3 is approximately 20 feet from Santa Rosa Creek near Tin City. The water has a hardness range of 304 - 539 parts per million and undergoes filtration for iron and manganese removal.
