The Bethlehem Water Division, under the City Water and Sewer Resources Department, provides water for about 117,259 residents living in the Bethlehem area. Established in 1741, the Bethlehem Water Department collects entirely from surface sources, namely the Wild Creek Reservoir and the Penn Forest Reservoir, supplemented by the Tunkhannock Creek whenever necessary.
