The City of Corona Water, under the Water and Power Department, provides water for about 173,417 residents living in the Corona area. Established in 1886, the Corona City Water collects water from different sources: groundwater wells owned and operated by the City of Corona, Lake Mathews from the Colorado River, the State Water Project’s California Aqueduct, and purchased water from Western Municipal Water District’s Arlington Desalter treatment facility.
