Established in 1882, the City of Flagstaff Water Services currently obtains its supply from a combination of sources: surface water from the Upper Lake Mary and seasonal runoff from the Inner Basin of the San Francisco Peaks; and groundwater from deep wells throughout the town that pump water from the C-aquifer.
