The City of La Verne Water, under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 33,200 residents living in the area of La Verne, California. Established in 1887, the City of La Verne Water District currently obtains its supply from two main sources, local underground water and imported groundwater. The City has eight local municipal wells that pump water from the Pomona and Live Oak underground basins. The imported groundwater is purchased from the Three Valley Municipal Water District (TVMWD), which pumps from the Main San Gabriel Basin and Raymond Basin Los Angeles County.
