The city of Peoria Water, a public community water system under the City Water Services Department, supplies water to about 135,975 residents living in Peoria. a city in Maricopa and Yavapai counties in the state of Arizona. Founded in 1954, the City of Peoria Water System currently obtains its surface water supply from a mix of four different water sources to ensure reliable water supply to the community:(1) 33.9% from the 12,190 acre-feet Central Arizona Project water; (2) 28.5% from the 10,250 acre-feet Salt River Project water; (3) 34.3% from the 12,311 acre-feet recovered well water; and (4) 3.2% from the 1,157 acre-feet direct use reclaimed water.
