The City of Dixon Water is a public community water system that provides water to about 11,055 residents living in Dixon, in northern Solano County, California. The City of Dixon owns and manages the municipal water system and, since 2021, has served over 10,000 homes as an urban water supplier. The groundwater used by the City of Dixon Water System is currently pumped from hundreds of feet beneath the surface of the ground. Five significant production wells that pump water into the city system are operated and maintained, which are dispersed over the service region and can produce 8,000 gallons per minute in total. Over 45 miles of mainline and four above-ground steel storage tanks make up the water distribution system. Furthermore, the aggregate capacity of these tanks is 4.3 million gallons of water.
