The Municipal Authority of the Township of East Hempfield (MATEH) Water Authority provides water for about 20,220 residents living in the Landisville area, Pennsylvania. Established in 1941, the East Hempfield Water Authority obtains its supply from a groundwater source, nine wells and one surface spring. MATEH can get additional water, on an emergency basis, from an interconnection with the City of Lancaster Authority.
