Town of Edgartown Water, a public community water system under the local government, provides water to about 6,993 residents living in Edgartown, on the island of Martha's Vineyard in Dukes County, Massachusetts. Founded in 1671, the Town of Edgartown Water System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily wells that drill into the Martha's Vineyard aquifer underneath the area. Furthermore, the system has five groundwater wells at a depth of 60 to 120 feet and a pumping station that doubles as a water treatment facility. On Machacket Road, you'll find Machacket Well. Vineyard Haven Road is the location of Lily Pond Well. Nunnepog Well is situated on Lovewell Way, while Wintucket and Quenomica Wells are situated on Kavanagh Way.
