The EPCOR Water - Agua Fria District provides water for about 80,959 residents living in the area of Surprise, Arizona. Established in 1996, the EPCOR Water - Agua Fria currently obtains its supply from a combination of sources: surface water from Colorado River via the Central Arizona Project (CAP) and Agua Fria river water from the Waddell Dam at Lake Pleasant; and groundwater from 15 wells that draw water from West Salt River Valley (WSRV) Sub-Basin.
