The Hamilton Water Department supplies water to about 7,710 residents living in the Hamilton area of Essex County, Massachusetts. The Water Department collects water from active wells located at School St. Park and the Gordon "Tiny" Thompson Water Filtration Plant, including Idlewood I and II Wells, Caisson Satellite Well, and Plateau Well. The water is chemically treated with phosphate, chlorine, and fluoride to remove iron, manganese, and harmful microbial contaminants and to protect dental health.
