The Town of Hopedale Water supplies water to about 5,966 residents living in the Hopedale area of Worcester County, Massachusetts. Water sources include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. Hopedale Water Department collects water from five different wells, including bedrock and gravel-packed wells. Mill Street Wellfield is located within the Hopedale Golf Course and four Greene St. GP Wells are within the Water Treatment Plant. The water undergoes disinfection with chlorine, pH adjustment, coagulation, filtration, and final chlorination processes to improve the quality before it is distributed.
