The Town of Barnstable Water Supply Division - Hyannis, under the Town Division of Public Works, provides water for about 35,000 residents living in the area of Hyannis, Massachusetts. Established in 1989, the Town of Barnstable Water Supply Division - Hyannis System currently obtains its supply from a groundwater source, five gravel-packed wells fed by groundwater from Cape Cod's unconfined, sole source Aquifer. In the event of an emergency, water may be supplied to our system through interconnections with COMM Water and Yarmouth Water.
