Jersey Shore Area Joint Water Authority (JSAJWA), a public water supply services authority, provides water to about 6,600 residents living in Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1984, the Jersey Shore Area Joint Water Authority System currently obtains its supply from the Larrys Creek Filtration Plant, a surface water source built in 1915 and serving as the main water source. Additionally, the Pine Creek Filter Plant in Clinton County, a surface water source, and a wellfield, a groundwater source, which drills into the aquifer underneath the area and is also in the same location, serve as an emergency backup source.
