Bethlehem has multiple water providers: City of Bethlehem Water and Lower Saucon Authority. This page provides information about Lower Saucon Authority.

The Lower Saucon Authority provides water services to about 5,700 residents in the Lower Saucon Township in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Lower Saucon Authority purchases water from the City of Bethlehem, which sources surface water from Wild Creek and Penn Forest Reservoirs, and Tunkhannock Creek in Munroe County as a supplemental supply source. The Wild Creek Reservoir is in a 22-square-mile watershed in Towamensing Township and the Penn Forest Reservoir is in a 17-square-mile watershed in Penn Forest Township, both in Carbon County. The Lower Saucon Authority has an emergency connection with the Hellertown Borough Authority Water System on Polk Valley Road. The water has added fluoride additives for strong teeth and chlorine for disinfection.
