The Town of Maynard Water Division, a public community water system under the Department of Public Works, provides water to about 10,754 residents living in Maynard, a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Founded in unknown, the Town of Maynard Water Division System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily seven wells that drill underneath the area into the aquifer. The water system has three treatment facilities, namely: the Old Marlboro Road, treating Wells # 1–3; Green Meadow, treating Well# 4; and lastly, the Rockland Avenue, treating Wells #5-7. Wells # 1–4 are 40–70 feet deep and located in the southern half of Maynard, while Wells #5-7 are more or less 400 feet deep and located in the northern half of Maynard.
