The City of Monrovia Water, under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 38,787 residents living in the area of Monrovia, California. Established in 1887, the City of Monrovia Water currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources: five active wells throughout the City that are pumping water from multiple aquifers within the Main San Gabriel Basin beneath the San Gabriel Valley.
