Ontario Municipal Utilities Company
The Ontario Municipal Utilities provides water for about 167,382 residents living in the Ontario area. Established in 1891, the Ontario Municipal Utilities water supplies are comprised of surface water and groundwater. Surface water originates from the State Water Project (supplied by Metropolitan Water District) and is treated by Water Facilities Authority (WFA). Groundwater supplies are drawn from city-owned wells (local groundwater), San Antonio Water Company (SAWCO), and Chino Desalter Authority (CDA) wells.

Consumer Confidence Water Quality Reports
Under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA requires Ontario Municipal Utilities Company to assess local water quality each year and distribute a Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report.
The information in this report includes the source of your water, whether your water meets EPA standards, detailed tables of detected contaminants, detailed descriptions of those contaminants, possible reasons why they're present, and potential health effects (if any).
