The Palmdale Water District (PWD) provides water for about 116,183 residents living in the Palmdale area. Established in 1918, the Palmdale Water District collects water from a combination of surface water (Littlerock Dam) and groundwater (water wells and California Aqueduct) sources, via Leslie O. Carter Water Treatment Plant (LOCWTP).
