Queen Annes County Public Works-Stevensville, a public community water system under the Water and Sewer Department, provides water to about 9,155 residents living in Stevensville, Maryland. Founded in 1850, the Queen Annes County Public Works-Stevensville System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources. The Stevensville water treatment facility is the main water source that draws water from a 1590-foot-deep and 20-inch well; the Business Park Water Treatment Facility draws water from a 1,494-foot-deep and 12-inch well; and the Thompson Creek Water Treatment Facility draws water from a 1,546-foot-deep and 12-inch well, all of which are drilled from the Lower Patapsco Aquifer. Additionally, the Bayside Water Treatment Facility uses water from the 670-foot-deep and 10-inch well, and the Bridgepointe Water Treatment Facility uses water from the 710-foot-deep and 6-inch well, both drills from the Magothy Aquifer. Lastly, the Queen's Landing Water Treatment Facility utilizes water from the 280-foot-deep and 10-inch-deep well that was drilled from the Aquia Aquifer.
