The City of Quincy Water Division, under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 96,329 residents living in the area of Quincy City, Massachusetts. Established in 1888, the City of Quincy Water Division currently obtains its supply via purchase directly from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). MWRA water comes from surface water sources: Quabbin and Wachusett Reservoirs. Water from Ware River can also add to the supply when the demand arises.
