The Ramona Municipal Water District (RMWD) provides water for about 33,865 residents living in the area of Ramona, California. Established in 1886, the Ramona Municipal Water District currently obtains its supply from the San Diego County Water Authority via purchase from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) that uses a blend of surface water from the Colorado River and runoff from the Northern California Sierra Nevada Mountains. The Ramona Municipal Water District also purchases water from the City of Poway when the demand arises.

Lead Report (2019)

A

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Ramona Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Ramona Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
